The Suburban Tool MTC-VB Magnetic Toolmaker's Chuck combines a 5-7/16" x 2-3/4" x 3-5/8" magnetic body with integral 90° vees for round and cylindrical workholding. With a 2-3/4" vee capacity, it's built to cradle shafts, pins, and cylinders for surface grinding, inspection, and toolroom layout.
The 90° vees are central to the body within 0.0005", so parts stay on-center as you grind or gauge. Top and bottom magnetize simultaneously for versatile setups, the bottom surface is relieved 1/8" to minimize loss of magnetism, and the body is ground flat, square, and parallel.
